I installed Blend 2 August Preview and then installed VS2008 Beta 2. I
noticed that menus on Blend 2 were rendering as cut on the right hand side. I
also noticed another thing. I cannot seem to see any controls (>> on Toolbox)
except the TextBox and 2 other basic controls. I have Blend RC version on
another computer and I can see a lot of controls. I was looking for this
issue until I found this post. Please MS guys, any help would be great. There
is no mention of this issue on any Blend blogs.

Same here on the menus. I have it on both my desktop and laptop, both vista
and ati graphics. I did install the aug preview on my machine at work and
that was fine.

Sorry this is not an answer to your question its a question of my own as you
both have vs2008 with aug blend. In blend when you click on the cs file does
it open up vs? at the moment I have blend 2 with vs 2008 express and it does
not so I wondered if it did with standard vs? sorry to jump in on your thread
and thanks for any answers you may have

Rupak,

The cropping of the menus is a known issue with .NET 3.5 and Expression
Blend. The two product groups are working together to resolve it.

As for there only being basic controls, was this a Silverlight project or a
WPF application project? If Silverlight, you will only see the basic
controls right now.

This is a known issue in the Beta2 bits of .Net Framework 3.5. This issue
has been since fixed, and you should be seeing the fix in the next refresh
of the .Net Framework 3.5 bits. There were plans to do a QFE for this issue,
but not sure where those plans stand.

This is not an Expression Blend issue, and the VS / .Net Framework teams are
aware of this.

Thanks,
-Unni

When you click on a event handler in Blend, it takes me to VS2008 Team Suite
edition that I have installed on my work machine. I am not sure about the
VS2008 Express Edition.
