Expression Blend SP1 is about being compatible with .Net Framework 3.5 / VS 2008 and fixing a number of crashing issues reported via Windows Error Reporting. In addition, we have also slightly improved the performance issues around resource editing. More information will be available on the download page as soon as the servers finish propagating. I would love to see a repro of a scenario where Blend siezes up for a long

Hi,
I have VS2005(German)+Extensions, VS2008 (English, the official release, no beta) and Blend (German, v1.0) installed. I tried to start the Blend SP1 file, but installation failed with error code 1642, saying that there is no Blend installed or a wrong path to Blend or another Blend version. But there´s no Blend 2 and Blend 1 is definitely installed in the default folder. What can I do? Thanks in advance, Juergen |

Could you please let us know the channel that you got Blend (German, v1.0) from: a) Downloaded trial and purchased a product key (and if so where did you download that from) b) Ordered media (CD) from a retailer or a store c) Downloaded from MSDN, d) Something else, and if so where. Hi Unni,
first I installed the Trialversion from the Internet (don´t know, English or German) and uninstalled it. I bought Expression Studio Update (German, basis was VS2005 Prof+MSDN) via retail and installed the Studio via CD, where Blend is part of it. VS2005 is installed via CD, VS2008 via MSDN-Download. We have discovered the problem - there are a few localized languages - German being one of them - wherein the SP1 installer for Blend is failing if you used the Expression Studio keys.
