I just created a new website using the Dynamic Web Templates. I created the
site from the ground up using a 4 row table, then splitting the 3rd row in
two. The top row I assigned the Navigation Bar and added the buttons. The
3rd row is the only two areas you can edit when you create a page from the
..dwt master file.

Now the top navigation menu bar works great. I wanted to know if the
following was possible?

Let's say I have two pages in my website. The first one is Home and the
second one is Calendar. Both pages were created off of the master.dwt
mentioned above. Now on my Calendar page I add another navigation menu bar
to the left column in the third row. I create 2 buttons. I would create two
new pages, one for Birthdays and the other one for Anniversaries.

How do I get the new navigation bar to repeat on the Calendar page and the 2
new pages Birthdays and Anniversaries?

Home
Calendar
---> Birthdays
---> Anniversaries

Basically a Child or Sub Navigation bar within the website.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Jim

Jim,

If I understand you correctly, you might consider adding another
editable region to the dwt. Then, just don't populated it except on the
pages where it is needed. Or, populated it in the dwt but use
javascript or inline style to make in invisible on the pages where you
don't want it to show.

There are probably better ways of doing it that others will suggest, but
this is what came to my mind when I read your post.

Best wishes for a good result!

I'm not sure i'm understanding what your saying but I can tell you how i do
menus...

I use

dwt
css
includes

I make the menu area editable and i put a blank include in the dwt in that
area.

When i attach a page I double click the include in the menu area and browse
to the menu I want to display in previously made include pages in my include
folder ...

So depending which category I'm under .... depends on which menu is
displaying ...
you can see to best effect on the left hand side menu at http://addonfp.com
click on the categorys and you will see a new menu click through those and
you will see the same menu .. click on another category and that section
opens up and so on... but i use this method with all my sites.

hope this helps
