Thats the way it is with cliques - like a bunch of teen girls making fun of
one of their peers who isnt wearing the right label on her jeans.

If people dont like the GUI, presumably Apple isnt forcing anyone to buy it.
So...dont buy it. I dont see what the problem is.

Personally, I find it a bit distasteful to be attacking the author of a
piece of software (and lets face it, its probably a one man shop) in a venue
where he isnt likely to see it (Delphi newsgroups) and where he's not around
to defend himself.

The reason why it's here is because the post was originally in relation
to the discussion about Apple only allowing authors to submit apps via
their AppStore. And hence how they could enforce some sort of quality
control. It was just that, a discussion. Personally, I did not attack
the author. I came across the original Flickr post and linked to it
from here. Comments made about bad UI were just that, my comments and
made in general.

I have no problem in making fun of VB developers.

And if someone thinks certain types of UIs are fine. That a shotgun
approach is fine, then I simply disagree with that. Stuff like this is
fine? [url down]

That's colour-coded, right? So it must be fine. :)

You joined the Flickr group in attacking the work of the developer of
the app. Along the way, you also insulted all VB developers as a group.
It sure looked to me like a "cheap shot."
