I've got the same problem as this person. but have tried the "don't check
password" thing in Privacy tab. and it still does it. Please help. Anthony C Subject: MSN 6.1 GAME CAN'T WORK From: windingtree (LePage) Newsgroups: microsoft.public.msn.messenger I can sign in MSN sucessfully and it seems other functions run normally. However, everytime I launched MSN game, a message told me it's unavailable and let me try later. Firewall in my computer is disabled. Even I closed the realtime virus proctection. But the result is same. |

Virus protection should have nothing to do with msn messenger, and with the thousands of viruses written for windows, you need it. For firewall, go to the firewall's website (zonealarm/norton/whatever) and get instructions from them on how to make msn work behind it. Even then, if you can sign in and it seems to work, i doubt it's your firewall either. It sounds like the games. But check the firewall's website on that, as they may be running as a separate program that needs access to the dynamic ports (1024 and up). |

Kerio Personal doesn't appear to be blocking MSN messenger to any ports. I have loadqm.exe *off* startup on Win98 with IE 6 SP 1 if it helps. TIA Anthony C |
