Suddenly my OFT forms that are posted on a web site are not working. When
anyone tries to open them, they get an error message saying the page is not available or that they don't have rights to view the page. These forms are on an internal web site available to everyone in the company. The links are all correct. What could be causing this problem? |

We have Office 2003 (Outlook 2003) and Windows XP. We do security updates all
the time, but other than that, no changes that I'm aware of. "Diane Poremsky [MVP]" wrote: [..] |

That's an odd error but you do need to know that, beginning with Outlook 2003 SP2, users can work with most .oft form templates files only by opening the template from the Tools | Forms | Choose Form dialog, browsing for User Templates in File System. This means that if the .oft file is sent as a message attachment, the user must save it to the local hard drive first.
The article at [url down] explains this change in more detail, suggests best practices, and provides registry keys that can return Outlook 2003 to the older, less secure behavior. |
