Hi,
I use WinXP Prof. Using Google Mail alias Gmail. I would like to use the "send to" function, in order to easily send files via the internet. I do not know how to set-up a webmail service on my PC. I only found the standard setting for MS hotmail service. But no function to configure other webmail clients that are pop enabled. I do not want to use OE (Outlook Express), I soley would like to use a webmail client in connection with the windows send to function. Anyone an idea or hint for. I searched the newsgroups, the MS KB and Google Mail help - all effort without luck! Regards, Dan |

Is there a specific reason to use webmail for this? If not then that's definitely the way to go. |

In the meantime I want to stick to one enviroment, as the webbased app supplies me with many relevant sorting features... Further more, I do not want to use different GUIs (General User Interface)! If it is availablefor hotmail, why not being able to set the same feature up for another webmail client. (I am already able to clcik onto mailto: links within my browser to use my webbased email service...) Or is it that MS wants to make it tougher on competing services and avoiding integration into its already sold software (eg WinXP) in my case.? I would be very greatful to gather a solution here. Is it that I need change soemting in my registry? The service seems to be already there, just not for my service, but for a similar one :) |

Google is not one of those clients although they (Google) have instructions on their website about how to inegrate their mail into a POP3 account in Outlook Express at this link: http://mail.google.com/support/bin/a...276&topic=1556 |

Then why are you posting your question to an OE-specific newsgroup? |
