Hello all,
My Mio a201 restarts every 5 minutes while connected to my computer in order to synchronise with outlook 2003. Why can't we deal with frequency of synchronisations ? It's very stupid , frustrating and boring when you want to load your battery, isn't it ? Does an older version of activesync 'solve' this problem ? Excuse my english. a french n00b ;) |

nope, not if you are running WM5... you will conform... you will be absorbed... ;-/ see http://BevHoward.com/ASync.htm#RAPI for a couple of kludges... the network shortcut works, but you have to assure that the device is OFF or it will not charge. Beverly Howard [MS MVP-Mobile Devices] |

set the reminders to not notify?
If you have them set to notify, it should try to notify you on or off. Beverly Howard [MS MVP-Mobile Devices] |

I want the pocket PC to notify me only by a sound, when it is ON or OFF. But i don't want it wakes the pocket pc up. Is it possible or not ? thx a lot |

The process of notification is the execution of application code which
requires that the device be taken out of it's suspended mode (turned on) for that to happen. The only option I can suggest if you don't want the screen on is to set the backlight to off when you turn it off but it might be easier to put a bag over it to keep it from lighting up the room.
