Hello

What is the diff between Office SharePoint Server 2007 and Office SharePoint Server 2007 for Internet sites? I noticed this on http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/sh...176831033.aspx.

It's mainly a licensing question. (Which means that all answers are
without any guarantee - contact a MS licensing expert for (possibly) the
whole truth)

The standard MOSS 2007 needs CALs. If you connect it to an Internet site
as well as having people in your Intranet able to access it, you need
to have an MOSS Internet connection license on every server in the farm
to make up for the fact that those users don't have CALs. These MOSS
Internet connection licenses cost about 30K each.

The MOSS 2007 for Internet product is designed for sites that are only
on the Internet. You don't need any additional Internet connection
license per server (or CALs) but you have some restrictions (=only
Internet not Internet plus Intranet) and the initial price is higher.

The MOSS for Internet product is equivalent to the MOSS Enterprise
version btw.

All that from memory but probably fairly accurate.
