I am getting thousands of event 6482 - which is supposed to be due to
bad logon credentials. The events are generated by the Office Server Shared Services *but* all the sharepoint services start up correctly. So if they all start correctly, their startup credentials are correct! So what credentials are wrong? Where are they entered? Have you also seen events 7076 and/or 6398? If you also see these events,
then the most likely cause is a bug in .NET 2.0. There is a hotfix available. Look at KB 923028(http://support.microsoft.com/?id=923028). The association with the 3 events is a good indicator of this problem, especially if you are also seeing this event about the same time: |
