I moved a database from one server to another. After doing so, someone told
me that the data files need to be moved to a secondary disk. I'm needing to know how to change SQL Server so that all of it's database files are located somewhere besides the default location. How do I do this? I went through the BOL, so don't tell me to look it up there. Couldn't find this information. If you do refer to the BOL, please give me the steps to find that information. I tried the index and that didn't work. |

The easiest way is to detach the db, move the files and attach it again.
