Hello all,

I'm new to SQL2005 and I seem to be missing something when it comes to
performance counters and the WMI interface. Back in the day of SQL 2000
there was a set of WMI objects that I could access with performance
information located in the CIMV2 namespace

Win32_PerfFormattedData_MSSQLSERVER_<counterset> etc...

I can't find that type of performance information anymore with SQL2005...
Where did it go?

Thanks
David.

Am I posting this information request in the wrong newsgroup?

David.

David:

Did you ever figure this out? I am trying to do the same and having no luck.

BOL is not very helpful in telling you how to write a WQL query to get
something like the Available Memory Perf counter and set it up as a SQL Alert.

Let me know if you get anywhere and I will do the same.

Thanks
