I have several SQL Server 2005 Enterprise Edition database servers that have
Windows 2003 Server as the operating system. I would like to set up perfmon counters to monitor SQL Server and the server. There are numerous new perfmon counters from SQL Server 2000. What is a good benchmark counters to use with SQL Server 2005? Thanks, |

I would suggest starting off very simple and then drilling into more
counters, DMV's, etc if needed. % CPU usage, page life expectancy,Avg disk queue can give you a quick look at each hardware subsystem and from there you can decide if you need to look deeper. |
