Its recomended to use last VMAdditions under Virtual Server 2005. I want to
know, what will it gige to me?
First i found - incorrect displaying of mouse pointer when i use old
additions under Virtual Server. Are another issues exist?

Hi,

It will also give you a performance boost, mouse integration, and SVGA video
drivers for the card

On Virtual PC, it would giv you shared folders as well - but this feature is
not in Virtual Server

If i run virtual machine with old vmadditions under virtual server i already
have mouse integration and video drivers.

What old Additions are you referring to?

yes, but MS recommends you upgrade to the current version. The old
versions are not the release builds of the VM Additions.

The VM Additions have hooks into to the code for performance
enhancements. Since the code changed from all previous versions to
the final, released version, using old Additions could cause
instability, weird behavior, etc. And using old Additions with the
release code would be unsupported by MS.
