I've ripped a bunch of my DVDs (all purchased) to my HD and copied the DVD
info (.XML) to the DVD\[movie specific folder] (above the VIDEO_TS folder) and the cover art - movie description - title show as expected. On a few of these DVDs the cover art is not correct so I would like to replace it with a scanned .JPG of the real cover. I've done this and named the file 'folder.jpg' and placed it the same folder as the .xml file (movie specific folder). The artwork is replaced only if I rename the .xml file to say .xm~ so that it gets ignored. Problem is then I loose all the movie info. The title is OK and the cover art changes to my custom scan, but it reverts back to the original cover art if I correctly name the .xml file. Is there some way - maybe by editing the .xml file - of keeping my cusom cover art and movie info together? I know I want my cake and eat it too...:) |

Maybe use MyMovies plugin and let it all be done automatically?

Although I already figured out how to do it manually (Google is my friend), the 'MyMovies' plug-in offers some things that the built-in (MCE2005 w/Rollup2) 'MyDVDs' doesn't. |

Hey, SocalComie
I have a question for you. Does your copied DVD play to your MCE Vista? Mine doesn't but it plays to my XP MCE 5.0 Do you think this My Movies plugin will fix this problem of mine? "SoCalCommie" wrote: [..] |

I worked out my problem using manual editing (most DVDs have the correct info - I've only had to change 3 out of the 120 I've added so far). |
