Hello. Sorry if this is not the right newsgroup but I'm looking
for a mobile device that is capable of basic server management. I have a Palm One PDA which I no longer use because the touch screen calibration is way off. I have had replaced by Palm One four times within the past 11 months. Now that my extended warranty is done, I will not buy a Palm One device anymore. With this, when it was still useable, I can connect it to the Internet via Bluetooth to my wireless phone and VPN over to our LAN at work and then use a VNC client for the Palm to control my desktop at work and manage servers in our domain. So I'm looking to replace my phone/PDA with a single device. This device must be wifi capable so in case I'm within a wifi hotspot, I'll use the wifi instead of wireless phone. BTW my carrier is Sprint - in the USA. Thanks in advance. |

Hi,
take a look at http://www.mobileviews.com/blog/2007...op-connection/ Any PDA which runs WIndows Mobile PDA (or Windows Mobile 6.0 Professional should work). Personally I'm using a Windows Mobile 5 Smartphone and remote desktop isn't fun. |

Thanks.
I need something which I can RDP to servers to manage simple tasks like stop/start services, unscheduled reboot, etc. "Jabez Gan [MVP]" <mingteikg> wrote in message news:1bc7 [..] |

Yes, I did. I downloaded the file from one of the links there.
But I don't have the device yet. It's still a plan - to consolidate 2 devices into one smartphone/pda combo. My contract with the wireless carrier ends in June. "Jabez Gan [MVP]" <mingteikg> wrote in message news:e69b [..] |
