Hi
I’m trying to upgrade WSUS 3.0 to WSUS 3.0 SP1 but I’m getting an error that prevents me doing that. I have Windows Server 2003 SP2 on x86 platforms. At the beginning I had WSUS 2.0, then I upgraded to WSUS 3.0. Later I moved database from local “Windows Internal” database to remote SQL 2005 SP2. And that last thing could be the issue why am I unable to install SP1. The error I’m getting is this: SetWyukonInstallDirProperty: Failed to open WYUKON registry key: SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Microsoft SQL Server\MICROSOFT##SSEE\Setup (Error 0x80070002: The system cannot find the file specified.) I assume this is because I removed local database and have only WSUS frontend on this server, database is remote. Did any of you experienced this problem and how can I bypass this to install SP1 for WSUS 3.0 without reinstall?! EZ |

Solved the problem by changing registry value wYukonInstalled located in
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Update Services\Server\Setup\ from 1 to 0. EZ |
