Hello,
is there an possibillity to use the "net send" command which was in 2000/xp in an windows vista environment. I have a network with a windows 2000/2003 server and some clients have now Vista. But "net send" will not wordk with these clients. I would use it to send an message when i want to reboot a server or something like that. Is ther an solution for it or another program or...??? best regards Patrick |

Take a look at http://www.cezeo.com/products/netsend/ for a free replacement or http://www.cezeo.com/products/lantalk-xp/for a pay-for replacement. hth |

net send isn't actual now i think.
there are lot of lan instant messengers available try to google , i've found 'softros lan messenger' (http://messenger.softros.com/) for example. If you need free soft, I bet you can find it at snapfiles.com But free is free.. you won't get good technical support etc. Goo luck! :wink |
