I recently fell for it and installed their software. Found a lot of errors
but will only fix 15 unless you buy it! I Immediately uninstalled it, but
now I get a pop-up window that reads
"UNIBLUE REGISTRY BOOSTER 2"
"Fail to read from independent file. This application will close now!"
But when I click the OK button to close, the message keeps popping up. I
did a system retore thinking that it would eliminate that pop-up box but to
no avail!
Any suggestions on how to get rid of this?

Thanks for the suggestion. I ran ad-aware but no luck. That annoying window
still pops up!

You'll have to install the program again, then
uninstall it. See:

It's either a Startup or a Service that is causing the message. You can
use AutoRuns from SysInternals/Microsoft to review what your PC is
loading at Startup.

Go figure...they are a Microsoft Gold Partner...doesn't that sugges
they are good
I fell for the same ploy...although uniblue is only supposed to hav
software that runs on 32 bit, the registry booster seems to run on th
64 bit too...so ran it on a new machine...and surprise...4932 registr
errors....yah, right

The best registry editor is yourself. If you can't manually edit the
registry then keep well clear of it and also keep ell clear of 'anything'
that tells you it can optimise your registry because, frankly, it can't!

I tried Uniblue's stuff on Vista Ultimate x64 and quickly dropped it. The
RB took hours to do anything and hogged resources like crazy doing it.

Actually I recall someone here having terrible problems as a result of
using it - don;t recall exactly what but as soon as the name is
mentioned it raises a red flag here :)

I have one WinXP Pro, 32 bit, and one Win Vista Ultimate, 32 bit. I use
UniBlue's registry booster 2 regularly with absolutely no problems on both.

Yet. And for what purpose do you use it? Remember, it's well known
that such products do absolutely nothing useful.

Good. But Vista x64 is a whole 'nother kettle of fish and I don't think
Uniblue handles it right yet.
