I have a Auto Back Up program and every time it runs I get a User Account
Control box that asks for permission to continue. As this program is OK how do I tell Vista to always allow this program (but only this one) to run without the hassle of the control box every time. Nixy |

Hi,
The application is trying to write to protected system folders. Until the program is rewritten to not do that, it will continue to have this problem. Obviously, this fix has to come from the program vendor. Check that you have the right version to run under Vista, or if they have a patch for it. In the meantime, there are hacks like the one described here that can help: http://dailyapps.net/2008/01/hack-at...ions-in-vista/ Ultimately though, program vendors need to write their applications using the correct parameters for the operating system. |
