If you try Vista, it will cost you money. Aggravation included.

If you try Ubuntu, except for a 30 cent CD, the green is still in your
pocket.

Ubuntu is low risk to try. Includes Open Office at no extra charge nor
licensing. Not much risk. Get over it.
