I am trying to setup a MOSS 2007 Enterprise server and built the SSP, but
when I attempt to import user profiles from my SBS 2003 standard domain they show 0 profiles. Log says crawled, so I assume it searched but found nothing to import. I know SBS uses several OUs to sort users do I need to customize MOSS in order to find these OUs? Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

Sean,
Start by verifying the SSP Default Access Account has sufficient permission to crawl AD on the SBS server. It is not un-usual to give the default access account local administrator access on the domain controllwe, although some would argue it is too much permission and I would tend to agree. Next, make sure you have configured the Profile Import properties correctly. Are the two servers member of the same AD domain? |

Mike,
I used the domain admin account and now it is working. Where can I find out exactly what access is required for the sharepoint account to ensure functionality but not be overkill? Thanks for your help! |
