Hello,
I am relatively new to SharePoint customizations and am looking for help customizing my site. I am implementing a WSS 3.0 project site and need to have a list of the site collections a user has access to when they log in. Many users will be given access to many site collections and their sub-sites based on their role and project work. We will likely use AD groups to manage access. One critical requirement I'm asked to complete is to display on the web application root site collection (i.e., https://projects.domain.com) an automated/rollup links list of all sites the logged-in user has access to (i.e., [url down], https://projects.domain.com/customer2/project1 etc.) so users do not have to bookmark the sites or have to remember URLs. Note: I do not want to use sub-sites off the root site collection because I need to enforce quotas, locks, search scopes, etc. Is there a way to do this out-of-the-box? A third-party web part we can buy? Some one to program this? |
