Hello,
I've got two network cards on my laptop (ethernet LAN and wifi). When my two cards are switched on, default network traffic goes through my ethernet LAN adapter. I would like to change my default network traffic adapter, in my situation this should be my wifi adapter. Anyone know a solution to change my default network traffic adapter ? I guess that I need to change my route table configuration, without any success for the moment. Thank aure_bobo |

To do what you want, assign metric values to the wired and wireless connections, giving a lower value to the wireless one. To assign a metric to a network connection: 1. Open the Network Connections folder. 2. Right click the desired connection. 3. Click Properties | Internet Protocol (TCP/IP). 4. Click Properties | Advanced. 5. Un-check "Automatic metric". 6. Enter a number between 1 and 9999 for the "Interface metric". |

Hello Steve,
Yes it is. The solution is to change the metric of my Ethernet LAN adapter. Now, I just want to keep local network traffic with Ethernet LAN adapter, and Internet traffic over my wifi adapter. I think that I have just to play on my routing table entries (on the metric parameter). Thank you very much Aure_bobo Steve Winograd [MVP] wrote: [..] |
