having bought 60+ systems from compaq, every time we
open 'word' or try to print, the 'speach recognition'
request pops up! This is becoming a pain!! how can i
swsitch it off?

Cheers

This feature is not installed by default and has to be activated from Word >
Tools > Speech. You could uninstall it if not required, its in the Office
shared features > alternative user input section of the advanced
customization tool. (Control Panel > add & remove programs > Microsoft
Office > Change).
