The new update ran during lunchtime and shutdown Office to restart while
people were at lunch. I have over a dozen people who have lost data because of it. Is there any way to recover that data? |

Possibly... Microsoft Word creates a temporary file, substituting "~$" for the first 2 characters of the filename. For example: If you were working on a Word file called "Test.doc", the temporary file that was created will be called "~$st.doc". Try double-clicking the temp file if it still exists. (Double-clicking the original filename usually works too) A schooling session with the office staff appears to be in order... Close whatever they were working on before going to lunch. :) |
