Has anybody successfully managed to achieve this as i need to add a
new user to a vista machine which already has a CRM offline user attached. http://www.microsoft.com/dynamics/cr...oveclient.mspx Following the above link i know works fine for XP and 2003, but as things have changed in 2007, the above i am sure would not work as the SQL database now seems to have been upgraded on the pc to express Any ideas. |

A post on my blog might be helpful to you (it has some unsupported
recommendations however): http://icu-mscrm.blogspot.com/2007/0...lient-for.html |

You should be able to follow MS's steps to totally remove the CRM client from
the machine before you install a newer version. If the uninstall is not completely successful, you'll have to follow the steps to remove it manually. If that doesn't work, you can resort to some unsupported hacks or make the decision if it's worth re-building the machine. It shouldn't matter which version of SQL (MSDE or Express) is on the client, the steps will be the same. |

I have tried doing this but no luck as it does not seem to want to reinstall express afterwards when i have cleared everything down and ready to install crm it brings up an error that sql express can not be installed. |
