well i was using a program to use extra themes, but when i uninstalled the
program it deleted my windows xp themes- the blue, green, and silver ones.
now the only one left is windows classic- looks like its from windows 98.

how would i manage to get those default themes back?

Check if Themes service is running.

1. Click Start - Run - type SERVICES.MSC and press Enter key.
2. In the right side pane check for the service "Themes".
3. Double-click the Service and set the Startup Type to "Automatic" and
click the Start button.
4. Right-click on your Desktop - click Properties - under the Themes tab see
Windows XP theme is listed now.

Hope this help, let us know!
