Hi all,
I am stuggling with the difference between Computer Upgrade and Computer
Refresh.

The only difference I can gather from documentation is that for Computer
Refresh user-state is not stored locally. This seems crazy to me. Could
someone explain the technical difference for these two scenarios?

With Refresh, BDD uses USMT to manage user state capture & restore.
With Upgrade BDD allows Vista's own migration engine in setup to
migrate user data, settings AND installed applications. Only
recommended in well managed environments & typically will take longer
than a Refresh.
