We have 1 Exchange 2003 SP1 server running on Server 2003 SP1. All of
our users use Outlook 2003 SP2. When any of our users schedule a
meeting and go to the Scheduling tab, there are several users whose
free/busy data doesn't show up (shows up as No Information and tooltip
says "No Information. No free/busy information could be retrieved). I
have read several other posts and webpages that speak to this problem,
however all of them (that I have found) refer to *none* of the free/busy
data showing up.

Does anyone have any ideas on either places to look or a possible fix
for this problem?

For those users, do Start, run, outlook/CleanFreeBusy

See if that resolves the problem.

Logged into my machine as myself (my free/busy info is ok), I set up a
profile to log in as one of the users who shows the problem. I started
up Outlook using that profile as well as using the /CleanFreeBusy
command line option. I then closed Outlook and rechecked and the
problem was still there. A couple of questions:

1) Is using a profile ok?
2) I don't see any visual feedback when I start Outlook with the
/CleanFreeBusy option - should I?
3) Is there a serverside fix for this - can I just force a regeneration
of any one user's free / busy info from the server?

Irwin,

Does your free\busy folder exist? If not, try the following articles in
this order to reset system folders (have good backups before doing anything,
of course). Also, you'll need to reboot the server vice simply restarting
the Exchange services.

I have have the exact same problem, and what I did was have the user that I
could not see send me an email through exchange and that did the trick for
me. It seemed that the user had never used his calander and did not use the
exchange server to send his emails, so there was no free/busy time updated on
the server.

Not sure if that will help
