I have a treo 700w that I am able to sync with our exchange server. i am
testing out the remote wipe feature and I am not sure its working. My
understanding is that the next time the system tries to sync with the server
all the exchange information will be wiped out.
So far the only thing I can see is a synchronization error with the code
85010013.
How do I know if this and when this works

Is the treo running AKU2? Check the build number of the O/S. The
number after the first "." should be AKU number. You want to see a "2"
there.

The 85010013 says you have a problem communicating with the Exchange
server. Were you able to sync before you told Exchange to wipe the
device?

The OS is 5.1.1700 Build 14359.0.2.0
Yes I was able to sync with no problem before I told it to wipe the device.
It is only after I tell it to wipe the device that I get that error and none
of the exchange information is removed.

I don't believe that WM5, without AKU2, was able to process the wipe
order. But I don't know what the OEM might have added to the AK from
Microsoft.

If you remove the wipe order does the problem go away? Does it go away
if you do a hard-reset on the device?

According to this, you don't have AKU2:
