I'm excited to announce Castalia 2008.1, the first of Castalia update
of 2008.

Here's what's new:

--New features--

* QuickBar - Fast access to tools that help you maintain your code.
* Syntax error correction - Castalia can correct common syntax errors
with a single button click
* Bookmark stack swap - swap the current cursor position with the next
bookmark in the bookmark stack

--Enhanced Features--

* Templates now expand class and method names in whitespace.
* Better handling of read-only files in refactoring
* New default code template: begine
* Text search toolbar now has option to integrate into code editor,
instead of being a floating window.

--Fixed Bugs--

* Using arrow keys with selected text sometimes causes selection to be
lost
* Keyword 'in' not properly formatted when refactoring
* 'Extract Method' refactoring unavailable when the selection begins
with a comment
* Extract Method (and others) - an extra space is inserted between )
and then, i.e. "if (1 = 1) then" becomes "if (1 = 1) then"

--Other--

* Improved "plumbing" for better interaction with OpenToolsAPI

I downloaded my update....

I love the QuickBar...to quote "Don't Make Me Think"...it provides intuitive
access without trying to remember all the great things Castalia does for
me!!

Ouch, nothing like kicking a Delphi vendor in the nads.

Jacob, keep me on your list :-)

That's cruel. I tried unsubscribing by email but it didn't work. That's
all.

Excellent, thanks. Can you let us know when you have some docs to go with
it, so we can make use of your new work? The help is still saying Castalia
5, and I can't see what this quickbar is yet, though I did notice a small
square blue button popping up with some nice things on it's menu, if
that's it!

I did the upgrade. Is there some way I can return to the earlier
version where it did work at least a little? I tried to post this to
your newsgroups, but they seem to have vanished.

I get errors from Castalia every time I exit D7 Pro, and those little
symbols that follow the cursor around are a real PITA.

Glynn

Sorry to hear you don're having trouble. The newsgroups appear to be
working fine.

You can download older versions from the download page at
http://subscribe.twodesk.com.

You can also turn the quickbar off in the Castalia options.

I tried to post about the quickbar yesterday, but my message didn't
appear. Please check the server!

Whats the quickbar? I don't find anything in the help? And where is the
'Refactoring'-menu-entry in the context-menu?

And I am getting AV's everytime I change the project - D7 Professional german.

I too have posted and nothing has appeared. I have another question about
the find box when not in the separate window, as I can't get anything to
go into the search box, as I can't Ctrl-V into it, so it isn't much help,
although the idea is nice.

Also, when you turn it back to separate window, it doesn't disappear from
the IDE where it was docked, and the message window stays, but you can't
click on either. Then if you switch it back to not a separate window then
you try Ctl-F then you get a "Cannot focus a disabled or invisible
window." error.

I see your post just fine. Try removing the account from your
newsreader and recreating it. The newsgroups recently switched
servers, and your newsreader may not like that.
