Hi!

I installed XP in a VirtualBox. Now i try to let the XP installation
access my local Network, but it doesnt seem to work. I tried to give
Network access via host interface but that doesnt work.

Internet access works, using NAT.

Can anybody help?

Yes. You need to change the networking scheme if you want to access
the LAN with the VM. NAT isn't addressable from the rest of the LAN.

Install host networking with a bridge interface, and you should be all
set.

Try this guide:
http://www.montanalinux.org/node/561

Or, if that seems too much for you, you can do it this way, but it is
not persistent across reboots:
http://www.linuxweblog.com/virtualbox-host-networking

Good luck! Currently, I use the second method on this machine, and
run a script to bring up the bridge when I need it. I haven't tried
the first guide, but looking at it, it should work fine, and be a bit
easier to use once you go through the original pain of setting it up.
