Want your man pages read with proper formatting? Install man2html then
open Firefox and do the following:

Go to Bookmarks > Organize Bookmarks;
Open a bookmark folder then right-click and chose New Bookmark;
Name the new bookmark Man;
In the Location field paste this line:

[url down]

In the Keyword field type man;
Click Add.

Now all you have to do is type man command in Firefox’s URL bar to get a
nicely formatted man page.

correctly but there is a version available via Synaptic (or whatever you

You can also do it in Konqueror (file manager or browser ) simply clear the
location bar and type man:<whatever>
Also the applys to info
info:<whatever>

In Gnome you can use the help browser (yelp), just type 'man foo' or
'info foo' in the search field.

Having a local copy is much better.
