Rest of the earth thinks of...

Flatfish, you can't have it both ways y'know.

EITHER the rest of the earth knows what linux is enough to pour scorn on
linux "zealots"...

OR NO-ONE but geeks, nerds and a few sysadmins knows what linux IS.

That's an XOR btw, you can't have both, so which one?

Couldn't care less.

Not that I believe a word that a nymshifting jerk like you posts.Which is why I don't even bother downloading your articles.

Curse Bill Gates for making it possible for ignorant and rotten
children to use a computer.

No, this fellow doesn't run Linux and never has. He can't
quit running his mouth under dozens of aliases on hundreds of
newsgroups long enough to do the studying that learning to run
Linux requires.

But he can, like any first grader, cut&paste someone _else's_
User-Agent header into his own headers.

And he can, like anyone in the world who can use a browser, get
an email box at a Linux domain just by forging the User-Agent
string his browser puts out, so that it looks like he's running
Linux. This is really simple.

If this fellow would just shut mouth for a while and quit
spending his time trying to trick people into thinking he's no
one they've ever encountered on the Net before, or has support
that he doesn't have, he could learn Linux easily. Just takes a
few hours of study to get off the ground.

But it isn't an OS for appliance operators with a lot of money
for the OS and technical support who don't really want to learn
about computers.

There _are_ Linux OSs that _try_ to be like Windows, but they
stink just like Windows does.

Duh.

That pretty 'user-friendly' interface that allows you to operate
your computer with a plastic rodent in one hand so that your
other hand is free for food and drink and smoke and the TV remote
control is an _option_ with Linux. One a lot of us don't use.

They can be called a 'GIDE'. (Graphical Integrated Desktop
Environment). I believe that the most popular one for Linux is
called KDE. There are others.

Even the GUI. (Graphical User Interface) that makes running the
GIDE possible, is optional on Linux and comes up after the base
system, which is textmode, boots.

Windows and Mac users think that a GIDE _is_ a computer. The only
way to control it.

But they are very limiting. They only include commands (with
options and arguments - run when you click on a button) that
the designers of the GIDE want to be there. All of the programs
called when you click on a button have many other options and
arguments that you don't ever see.

There used to be a commandline, the DOS prompt, on Windows,
but I think I heard somewhere that it has been rendered
almost Useless.

M$ doesn't want you to have that kind of control.

Exactly. Flatfish is a proven liar, a proven nym-shifter, a proven
troll. Hilarious that the pile of garbage was actually trying to get
"respect" by claiming that he helps Linux with his trolling...

Right. And this 2 page tirade is in response to a post you
didn't even bother to download. You're a fucking moron & liar.

Here's something you do care about:

Curse Linux for making it possible for idiots like you to use
a computer. Fuck open-source because it doesn't want
interoperability but free software. Someones elses software.
That's what all Linux assholes want. What everyone else has
but you don't want to pay for it.

Ah, there it is. Get out your dictionary.
You spelled it wrong this time.

You should just make "plonk" your standard
signature. That way you never have to worry
about getting it right.

That's assuming your POS newsreader has
that capability. Does knode do signatures?

Well look at that. You're using OE as your newsreader.
What a loon.

This is an unusual twist, normally linux is too hard to use by idiots.
I do wish the trolls would get their trolling material from the same book.

And why should we pay for something kindly offered for free by nice
programmers? We can contribute in otherways... Or, we can choose not to and
just use it, our choice.
