Thank you. I saw the name Morrison cited in the biblio but it is not anywhere on the text I have. George |

That variant e-mail address was posted only once, in this article on Jun.02: <http://groups.google.com/group/comp.lang.lisp/msg/e156db70df59c938> = Message-ID: <rem-2008jun02-001> but today I've had to disable the address, because after nearly three months some spammer finally harvested that address and sent me a spam to that address, reported here: <http://groups.google.com/group/news.admin.net-abuse.sightings/msg/4c90936b378a0185> = Message-ID: <rem-2008aug27-001> If you want to very-belatedly e-mail me privately, see my Web site for a Turing test that leads to a non-published e-mail address, or check some other article I posted recently for a public but disguised address that hasn't yet been harvested. By the way, as recently as *today*, Barack Obama's campaign organization is still sending out spam to addresses that never signed up for any mailing from him, but which addresses were used in a *comment* to his comment WebForm asking him *not* to send them any e-mail. Harvesting e-mail addresses to use for some purpose other than how they were originally supplied should be a crime. Regardless of where the address came from, putting somebody on an e-mail mass-mailing list without first asking them to confirm they wanted the mailings should also be a crime. Obama's campaign has repeatedly commited what should be two separate crimes. Obama and his campaign workers should be in prison already. But of course Obama is corrupt like many other members of Congress, and probably voted for CAN-SPAM which gives them a legal exemption to all anti-spam laws. The last three such spam to one of my spamtrap addresses are summarized below: 291 Behind the scenes in Denver SpamTrap -- My mom, the girls, and I left home in Chicago and got to Denver yesterday. Turn on greylisting and use SpamAssassin with SARE rulesets. It's not a big deal. Got a couple hundred attempts to spam my address daily, the very few that get through greylisting get flagged by SA. There's not a global problem with spam, but dimwitted postmasters. |

Perhaps you will provide me with a free account on whatever computer *you* use which does have those options. > There's not a global problem with spam, but dimwitted postmasters. I don't know of any e-mail service available to me currently that does it right. All known postmasters are currently dimwitted, some more dimwitted than others. Perhaps whatever system you are using, which you are bragging about, could be made available to me? If and when I finish some other projects and have time+energy to start implementing my new e-mail system, it'll do spam filtering **right**. - Nobody in their right mind likes spammers, nor their automated assistants. To open an account here, you must demonstrate you're not one of them. Please spend a few seconds to try to read the text-picture in this box: /----------------------------------------------------------------------------\ | |\/||_| |~ _ || _ ._ _ _ _ _| _|_ _ |\ | _ \/ _ ._| | | | _| ~|~(_)||<_\ | | |(_)\/}_(_| | (_) | \|}_\/\/ / (_)| |< | |~._ _ ._ _ |~ _ |o |~ _ ._._ o _ |\/||_| |~._o _._ _| _ _ || | ~|~| (_)| | | |_(_|||~|~(_)| | ||(_|o | | _| ~|~| |}_| |(_|_\ (_||| | _|_._o _ _| _|_ _ _ _ |_| ''| _ ._._ |_| _ o ~|~|_ _._ _)|| | | | |}_(_| | (_) _\(_| _| | \/\/(_|| | | _|(_)|_|o | | |}_| }_ || | |_ _ ._ _ _ ._ |~o._ (~| _|_|_ _._ _ _ ._ _| ._ _ _ ._ _ | |_)}_ | |(_) _\|_|| ~|~|| | _| | | |}_| }_) (_|| |(_| | |(_) (_)| |}_ | _ _._ _ _ ._ _ _ '' |\/||_| _ _ _||_|) _ _ _|_ _o _| _ | }_\/}_| | (_(_|| }__\o | | _| \/\/(_)(_)(_| _| _\ (_)|_| | _\|(_|}_ | _ _ _._ _ _| o_|_|_ _._ _ |\ | _ \/ _ ._| ) _ _ | (_(_)\/}_| }_(_| \/\/| | | | _\| |(_)\/\/o | \|}_\/\/ / (_)| |< _\ (_| | | _ ._ _||_| _|_ _ ._ |_ _._ |_| _ )._ _ _|_|_ _ | |(_)| |}_| _| | (_)\/\/| |) \/\/| |}_| | _|(_)|_| | }_ | | |}_ | _ ._ ||_| _ ._ |~ _._ |_ _ |_| _ ._ _ ._ _| | (_)| || _| _\|_|| ~|~}_| |_)(_) _| (_|| (_)|_|| |(_|o \----(Rendered by means of <http://www.schnoggo.com/figlet.html>)------------/ (You don't need JavaScript or images to see that ASCII-text image!! You just need to view this in a fixed-pitch font such as Monaco.) Then enter your best guess of the text (200-300 chars) into this TextArea: +------------------------------------------------------------+ | | | | | | | | | | +------------------------------------------------------------+ If you get the text 90% correct, that will be good enough to qualify for interactive coaching towards the exactly correct answer. But if you get it less than 90% correct, your entire /16 will be permanently blacklisted, and your sysadmin will be sent one e-mail telling your IP number and date&time which caused the blacklisting, and as a result you will probably be expunged from your ISP. |
