I have recently had to reinstall Vista from scratch. I have a full copy of
AppsData on an external hard drive. I cannot see how to reconnect Windows mail to all the existing past account connection data, mail inbox and outbox data, contacts list and folders. Can anyone help me please? Here's hoping... Michael |

The folder AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Mail\
contains messages only. You can tell Windows Mail to import those: File, Import, Messages, Microsoft Windows Mail 7. Account connection parameters are stored in the registry, and is difficult to recover even if you have a copy of the old registry. Contacts are stored under C:\Users\YourName\Contacts. |
