Hello,

I'm using BizTalk orchestration exposed as web service to get same data
presented in user interface. Expecteded response time is up to 3 seconds. I
usually meet this requirement except the special occassions where service has
not been used for more then 20 minutes. After this period first call to this
orchestration takes about 15 seconds which is not acceptable.
I hoped creating my own AppDomainSpec with all my assemblies in
BTSNTSvc.exe.config file would solve this issue. I set both treasholds to -1
but unfortunatelly it didn't solve the issue. Response time has sligthly
decreased but it is still higher then 10 seconds.
What happends in orchestration engine after 20 minutes? Why does initial
request takes so long to complete?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Hi Ladislav,

Using IIS Manager, in the properties of the app pool that runs the
webservice uncheck the Idle Timeout option on the Performance tab. In
these cases it is better to recycle the worker processes at predefined
times (on the Recycling Tab).
