Is there any way to create backgrounds, which can be edited in actual
pages?

I would like to create some textual elements, UI Frames etc as a
background, so I wouldn't need to copy/paste them from previous pages. But
I also need to edit them?

Is it possibble, or have I missed somehting (probably :))?

Visio has two basic types of pages, background and foregrouind pages. Only
foreground pages are printable. Background pages will allow you to create
common elements that appear in the same location on all the foreground pages
they are attached to. They can also be "layered" by attaching background
pages to background pages.

Adding to what John indicates, the background page can only be editted when
viewed directly, not from a foreground page that uses it. If multiple pages
use the same background, any edits to that background will be seen by all of
the referring foreground pages.

Hope this clarifies things.

Thanks for both of you. I already know about background pages, but what I'm
looking for is a "background", which can be edited from foreground pages.

Currently, I'm creating templates for our company to use with web page
wirefames. These templates contains areas for wireframes and annotations,
which of course are lorem ipsum in templates. Annotations etc of course
should be editable in foreground pages but haven't found a good solution
for these.

Background pages are...background pages. Not editable from a foreground
page.

Unfortunately, I've not worked with web pages and the like, so I can't
advise you on that.

Are you trying to do this editting from the web page? Not sure Visio can do
that, but can't say for sure.

You might want to re-post this with a more specific title to catch the
attention of web-savy users.

Actually I'm trying to create something like these:

http://konigi.com/tools/omnigraffle-ux-template

Of course, I can create all those elements as a shapes and align (texts
etc) those with shape data or formulas but it would be useful to have those
as a "templates" or something, because otherwise it takes a lot of manual
work.

Creating those as a background are not option, because I can not edit
annotation texts afterwards.

One option would be to place guidelines on the background page and let the
shape with the text be placed on the foreground page using the guidelines on
the background page for alignment.

If you have text that needs to appear on several foreground pages, but not
all of them, you could create a base background page (bkb) and then an
imtermediatory background page (bki) for the common text. A background page
can have a background page.

So the pages could be
fg1 fg2-bki-bkb fg3-bki-bkb fg4-bki-bkb fg5-bkb fg6-bkb
