Until last week I wouldn't know what a SBS 2008 Group Policy was even if I
was hit round the head with it! Can anyone recommend a book or publication suitable for a beginner so I can get myself to a moderate level of competence? Many thanks Waggers |

Chapter 11 in the book listed in my sig addresses Group Policy in SBS 2008
I'm sure that Charlie Russel's book on SBS 2008 (Administrator's Companion) also addresses this both books can be found on Amazon.com |

As an example, I'm looking for information that will tell me how and where to add program exceptions to the Vista clients firewall like this: I need to add C:\Program Files\Symantec\Backup Exec System Recovery\Agent\Vprosvc.exe Will your book take me by the hand and lead me through this? it is not my book, nor did I write the chapter on Group Policy
I don't have a copy in front of me to see, how detailed it gets However there are NG's on group policy as well... If you really need that kind of "hand-holding" perhaps it's worthwhile to bring a consultant in for an hour who can "teach" you how to do this. |
