We've added an Untangle firewall server between the Internet (DSL modem) and
our SBS 2003 R1 server. Something is not configured correctly and I haven't yet found an answer via Google. Email is getting out from our Exchange to the Internet, but incoming mail is being blocked. In addition we cannot connect to the SBS using RWW. Can you point me to any links that could help me fix this? Thanks. Brian Bygland |

Which version of Untangle? Have you tried an allow all type rule in the
firewall module to make sure incoming port 25 and 4125 are ok? What other modules do you have loaded that might be affecting traffic? I'd also ask more specifically in the Untangle forums. "BrianB" <brian> wrote in message news:5280 [..] |

If you have it behind an xDSL modem then I presume you have it running in Router mode (if you don't really mean modem, but router, then you need UT in Bridge mode instead). If you are running UT in router mode, you need to set up the appropriate port forwards (25 for SMTP, 443 + 4125 for RWW) under the Network config section. Also, make sure you have not enabled external administration on port 443 (if you do, this will block RWW, OWA and all the other HTTPS services of your SBS). Change the admin port to something else, like 445. |
