i'm trying to figure out a way to compile a list of contacts (email
address, first and last name) by extracting these details from every email message in an user's mailbox. the closest i can get is to export contact details from an NK2 file, but that has a limit of the last 1000 contacts. in my case, that is not sufficient. i thought maybe there could be a server side utility that could grab this information. any ideas are greatly appreciated. |

You can write Outlook automation code to loop through the mail items in each
mail folder. You can read the to and from email addresses on the items. This would run on the workstation, not on the Exchange server. "Lanwench [MVP - Exchange]" <lanwench> wrote in message news:a140 [..] |

Hi,
Thanks for your post and others' input. Since these contacts are store in the Contacts folder of each user's mailbox, have you tried export them from Outlook to a CSV file(email address, first and last name etc separated by comma)? Please refer to the following article for detailed steps: Export Outlook Contacts to Google Gmail http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/ou...489021033.aspx How to import and export text data by using Outlook http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290859/en-us Hope this helps.
