I created a database in windows XP using Works 8.5. It works fine on the
windows XP PC. When I open it on another PC which has windows Vista with
Works 9.0, I get this Error:

There was an error loading the data. Your document appears to be corrupted.
Click Yes to continue loading and display the errors, click No to continue
loading and suppress further errors, or click cancel to stop loading the
document.

When the database opens, it creates alot of additional Blank Fields, in the
database.
When i delete the new fields, they come right back. I downloaded & installed
the updates but it made no difference. Can anyone help?

Be aware how you open the file.
It should be transferred to Vista and placed on the hard drive prior to opening
Opening from thumb drives can and does corrupt files.
