Downloaded and installed SP 3 without a hitch.

Except for a prompt at reboot to turn on Automatic Updates (I do it
manually), I did not see any visible functional changes at all. Did see more
detailed explanations in Local Security Settings, however.

After removing the uninstall files (made an image before and after) I found
the total system size increase 'marginally' by less than 40 MB. This machine
is always fully patched and up-to-date.

Boot is a trifle faster now though!

Regards.

If you use the Remote Desktop client - you will notice it is a little
different as well.

Can you explain that a little more Shenan? In what way is it a little
different?

Is Address Bar an available toolbar option for your task bar?

It was postponed only to the general public. Valid releases are on
MSDN etc for those who have a subscription.

SP3 was released yesterday, I think. I used the following link posted in
these columns to download it. It is the final release (not a beta!).

http://download.windowsupdate.com/ms...2300ebfde4.exe

HTH. Regards.

Yes... and no.

Windows XP SP3 was supposed to be released to the general public via
Window/Microsoft Update and Microsoft Downloads yesterday. It was
post-poned due to a problem that would mess up some small percentage of
users (specifically those using Windows XP to run their small/medium
business and some specific software.) For the normal user not running a
business off their computers - it likely will not give any issues.

[I know that, you know that, but JP said he didn't notice any functional
changes.]
